The Advantages of a Man Lift
Man lifts offer an easy and safe way to repair problems at areas which are very high to reach by other means. Mechanical lifts allow workers to lift safely to a high work place. Often, man lifts are utilized by construction and service workers to complete work on buildings, light poles and other places that are very up high to reach by other means.

Safety
The main factor when using a man lift is of course taking safety into consideration. Ladders are not a practical alternative for extreme heights and hence man lifts are the best alternative for these places. The majority of these machinery are equipped with emergency shut-off switches and safety rails to make worker safety a top priority.

Range
Man lifts can reach certain heights that other equipment cannot reach. This equipment was first used to pick fruit, but has evolved to take on other tasks. Like for example, they are normally used for changing light bulbs and to do finishing work in the construction industry. Commonly, man lifts can reach heights of about 20 to 100 feet.

There are smaller man lifts that could operate indoors to perform tasks in areas such as large office buildings, hotels and sports arenas. They could be powered with electricity. This eliminates the harmful fumes and the hazards associated with them.

Engine-Powered Boom Lifts
An engine-powered boom lift is the solution for workers who need to reach heights both quickly and efficiently. The boom lift allows for a much mobility, capable of moving in numerous directions. Boom lifts could also easily fit into narrow spaces. Every "joint" in the boom lift is controlled to adjust to different heights in order to position the worker precisely where she or he has to be in order to get the task done. The engine power system is what enables boom lifts to reach their full elevation quickly. Firefighters normally utilize engine powered boom lifts when they have to rapidly ascend to heights during a rescue mission.
