Telescopic lift trucks
Telescopic lift trucks provide height and versatility. These units are outfitted with a pronged lift on an arm that extends over the top of the truck. The crane, or arm, is called a telescopic boom. The boom enables the individual using it to maintain a high degree of control while raising the load to great heights. Standard lift trucks aren't able to move the load away from and towards the forklift cab, whereas a telescopic forklift allows that movement. The telescopic forklift is usually used in construction and agriculture. It is better for applications where greater control and lift is needed.
A lift truck carton clamp attachments are better in cases needing high volume carton handling. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings that enable the operator to use uniform clamping force when picking up a load. It comes with a backrest that protects the cargo from damage.
A sleep sheet forklift will normally use a slip sheet attachment for storing systems that don't use pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forklift forks. This type of system is useful for overseas shipments and intra-corporate deliveries.
A lift platform which is meant to raise employees is called a Man Basket. It attaches to the forks on the forklift and a chain or strap is utilized to attach the basket to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the workers from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are utilized for fastening the safety harness of the worker.
