Genie telescopic S-booms have working heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters and a horizontal reach of between 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters. Compared with other aerial work platforms, telescoping booms have a much greater range of horizontal reach. Genie telescopic booms are designed with consideration to being able to access confined places during construction and industrial jobs. They are also known for their ability to maneuver through a job site quickly and with great drive speed and traction. The platform turns 160° hydraulically and can stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for operators and tools and are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters. Continuous, 360° rotating turntables offer easy, quick positioning for operators.
The Z-135/70 unit has a telescoping jib, called the Jib-Extend, which goes from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This unit could also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach jobs that were inaccessible by conventional jibs before. The Z-80/60 model's secondary reverse-articulating boom gives the user 8.83 meters of over and up reach. This feature enables up and over reaching tasks to be completed with zero front arm swing.
Genie also offers the Fast Mast system which allows for precious time to be saved when both secondary and primary booms have to be lifted or for lowering the platform without having to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system allows both booms to be raised fully simultaneously. Both of these features of the Genie Fast Mast system reduces the time required for users to ascend and descend, increasing efficiency and productivity.
