The lift truck application all over the world has grown in insurmountable measures when it comes to the manufacturing and warehousing industries. A lift truck is a motorized industrial truck used for raising and moving things. The machine has slowly changed and today there are many modern designs for moving and raising objects. In the last decades, the equipment has really grown and the designs have evolved so there are various trucks and many modern designs to meet each specific application. Loads are capable of lifting and reaching to greater heights than ever before.

The lift truck is offered in a huge array of power types like gas powered, diesel, electric, diesel and LP or liquid propane units. The load capacities of these models vary significantly since there are many manufacturers that design and build them. For example, several units are able to reach a height of more than 10,000 kg or over 3000.

The frame of the truck is the base of the power source and is the site where the other features are attached. These numerous features consist of mast and axles, the counterweight and an overhead guard. On the back side there is a counterweight connected to the truck. This counterweight counterbalances the load that is being carried in order to keep the machine stable.

The machines movements are dictated by the operator who sits in the cab. The overhead feature likely consists of a metal roof made to protect the operator from falling things. Hydraulic tilt cylinders mounted to the mast and the frame. These tilts turn the mast in order to engage the load. The mast is a vertical assembly that lowers and lifts the load with the interlocking rails to provide lateral stability.

There are many businesses and warehouses in the manufacturing fields which utilize lift trucks for transportation and lifting every day. Now, there are many different brand new and used lift trucks offered in the market at competitive prices. Those who rely on transportation and occasional lifting could use rental lift trucks because they are available also.
